Secure Messaging is a tool on Peregrin Manage that allows financial institutions and credit counseling agencies to communicate sensitive information securely in an encrypted environment.

User Permissions
Edit Permissions in Admin
Secure Messaging: If checked, the user can access the Secure Messaging area. The user may be chosen as a member of a group mailbox or be granted an individual mailbox. Without this checkbox, the user does not have permission to access Secure Messaging.
Use Only: If selected, the user cannot view or edit mailboxes and can only modify templates they themselves have created.
Can Edit: If selected, the user can view and edit mailboxes and all templates, including those created by other users.



Manage Mailboxes
To view existing mailboxes for your organization:
On the Secure Messaging - Inbox screen, click the View Mailboxes button (if you do not see this button, please see the "User Permissions" section above for access levels).
All of your organization's mailboxes will be listed. To sort the list by any column, click the column header. Double clicking the column header will reverse the sorting option.
To edit existing mailboxes for your organization:
You may click on any row to open the Mailbox Details screen where you can view, edit, inactivate, or delete the mailbox. Inactivating a mailbox will pause any new messages from being sent to or from the mailbox. The Delete button will only be available for mailboxes which have no current messages. (Note: Messages will purge automatically from the system after the message's specified Retention Date.)
Create Mailboxes
To create a new mailbox for your organization:
On the Mailboxes screen, click the Create Mailbox button.
On the Create Mailbox - Select Type screen, select the radio button to choose which mailbox type you wish to create.
Group mailboxes allow you to include "All" of your organization's users to access the mailbox. To select specific users, deselect "All" and check the boxes for the users you wish to become members of this group mailbox. The Mailbox Description field allows for detail to indicate how the mailbox should be used. It is also a place where an out of office notification may be posted for an individual mailbox. Click the Create button at the bottom to activate your new mailbox.
Note: Question marks ? can be click on to reveal information and tips related to the adjacent field.
Inactive Users that are part of any group mailbox will now reflect as the below. If a user should be active, Management or Upper Management user can be reactivate by going under the Administrative/Tools tab (See Manage Other Users : Help & Support (freshdesk.com) for more details.)
If the inactive user should no longer be in the mailbox, follow instruction provided at top of Group Mailbox Details.
